Research & Development

The research-development combination drives Esseco’s strategic decisions, supported by a continuous investment program that actively maintains synergies between experimentation, advanced industrial technology, environmental protection, and market needs: this is how innovation is born.

Laboratories

Esseco operates two Quality Control laboratories, one at each of its production sites.

Primary activities include:

  • Analytical support for R&D
  • Support for chemical manufacturing processes
  • HACCP self-monitoring analysis
  • Quality Control
  • Environmental analysis
  • Product release testing

ISO 9001:2015 and FSSC22000 certifications ensure the laboratories operate with a quality management system compliant with international standards, guaranteeing precision, reproducibility, and reliability of results. This represents our ongoing commitment to process improvement and customer satisfaction.

Projects

ECO-Chem Innovations

Project submitted to the Piedmont Region’s SWIch call, aiming to promote high-value solutions for energy efficiency and environmental sustainability.

The project innovation will:

  • Recover energy by reducing exhaust gas temperatures from sulfur furnaces and better utilizing sulfur combustion heat
  • Reduce water consumption through installation of a refrigeration unit coupled with a pre-cooling air cooler
  • Maximize production efficiency in enological solutions manufacturing through a larger-scale plant and Smart Factory integration

Esseco Innovation

Launched in 2021 and completed in 2023, Esseco Innovation was an experimental program dedicated to developing:

  • New products for the wine industry
  • New industrial chemical solutions

Co-funded by Italy’s Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy, the project advanced research on wine fermentation and protein stabilization, aiming to simplify production processes and improve quality.
