At Esseco, we believe that the future of the chemical industry lies in the talent of the younger generations. This is why we have long been investing with conviction in initiatives that engage students and young professionals, offering them concrete opportunities for growth and interaction with the world of work.
We are convinced that innovation and research cannot exist without the contribution of new energy, fresh ideas, and a modern perspective. Chemistry, a sector essential to many aspects of our daily lives, is now more than ever at the heart of the ecological and energy transition challenges. Precisely for this reason, we are committed to passing on to the younger generations our passion for this work and the awareness of the fundamental role it plays.
We have established a collaboration with the Istituto Tecnico Industriale OMAR in Novara, through which we have developed school-work alternation programs and launched initiatives such as the Esseco Academy, designed to enhance the skills of plant operators through specialized training modules. Additionally, we maintain active agreements for curricular internships at our San Martino di Trecate facility, opening the doors of our company to students in training.
Esseco is part of the Technical-Scientific Committee of the Piedmont Academy for the Chemical, Pharmaceutical, and Biotech Supply Chain, a regional initiative that promotes highly qualifying training programs tailored to the strategic needs of the sector. The Academy offers upskilling and reskilling courses for employed workers, as well as training programs for the job placement of unemployed or inactive individuals, thereby contributing to the development of adequate technical skills and the enhancement of human capital. Our role within the Committee allows us to actively contribute to defining training content and the most in-demand professional profiles in the industry.
We also enthusiastically participate in career guidance initiatives such as the Career Days at the University of Eastern Piedmont, where our employees share their professional experiences and demonstrate how an academic path can turn into an exciting career. Among the most significant initiatives is WOOOOOW – Me and My Future, an event promoted by Confindustria Novara Vercelli Valsesia: a valuable opportunity to meet students and young talents, engage in dialogue with them, and present an industrial chemistry sector that invests in sustainability, innovation, and responsibility.
During these events, we have conducted introductory interviews with university students nearing graduation, offering real job opportunities and initiating a constructive dialogue focused on the future.
Our goal is not only to develop new skills but also to convey a business vision based on strong values: responsibility, transparency, care for people, and the environment. A vision we want to share with young people, confident that their active involvement is one of the keys to building an increasingly sustainable and conscious chemical industry.
