Esseco operates two production facilities in San Martino di Trecate (NO) and San Cipriano Po (PV), along with storage sites and warehouses in Borgolavezzaro (NO), Assemini and Uta (CA).

Opened in 1969, San Martino di Trecate serves as our headquarters and covers an area of over 16 hectares. It houses offices and production plants divided into two distinct areas: one dedicated to industrial sector products and the other to oenological products.
Within the Trecate industrial plant is a highly specialized sulfuric acid and oleum production facility owned by Essemar S.r.l.
We have invested significant resources to make the San Martino di Trecate site as energy self-sufficient as possible. In particular, we recover thermal energy from sulfur combustion processes (CO2 free) and from the enthalpy of its chemical transformations, thereby limiting the use of climate-changing fuels.
As of July 1, 2022, Esseco has absorbed subsidiary Zolfindustria S.r.l., taking over management of the San Cipriano Po production site and the Assemini storage facility.
This production site focuses on sulfur grinding and micronization for two main markets: agricultural and industrial/automotive (tire market, where it’s used as a vulcanizing agent).
