2001

ITALY – Commissioning of the energy recovery plant from sulfur combustion, supplying both the Trecate industrial site and feeding electricity to the national grid.

 

2002

ITALY – Startup of the SA3 plant for sodium metabisulfite production, featuring an innovative, energy-efficient process developed through advanced research and cutting-edge technologies.

 

2003

USA – Establishment of Esseco USA in Parsippany (New Jersey) for sulfites distribution in North America.

BRAZIL – Creation of Ever Brasil for production and distribution of oenological products in South America.

ITALY – Launch of the Enartis brand for Esseco’s oenological business.

 

2004

Corporate restructuring: Formation of Esseco Group as industrial holding company for all production and commercial entities worldwide.

ITALY – Creation of Essemar, a 50/50 joint venture with Marchi Industriale for sulfuric acid production from elemental sulfur.

ITALY – Commissioning of new sulfur combustion furnace significantly increasing SO₂ gas production capacity at Trecate.

 

2005

ITALY – Launch of ‘Enartis International’ project to establish subsidiaries in all major wine-producing countries.

 

2006

ITALY – Sulfuric acid production begins at Essemar’s Trecate plant (140,000 ton/y capacity).

ITALY – Acquisition of Intec (Verona), specializing in oenological products distribution.

 

2009

ITALY – Initiation of multi-year modernization project for all food-grade production facilities at Trecate site.
